Ben Lomond Ski field Area is Tasmania's Premier ski resort that offers spectacular alpine scenery within the Ben Lomond National Park.
The Alpine Village is located at the foot of the of the ski slopes and there are toboggan and snow play areas, downhill and cross country skiing and snowboarding.
The Ben Lomond Ski field area provides an affordable family friendly winter experience for the beginner to intermediate users. The winter season usually starts around the beginning of July and closes late September.
Ben Lomond National Park covers an area of 16,527 hectares (40,772 acres), and boasts the island's second-highest peak, Legges Tor, which is 1,572 metres (5,147 feet) above sea level. The village road is the highest in Tasmania and at its end reaches an elevation of 1460 metres.
